“Skyline” Panel at Comic-Con
Written by Jennifer on July 10, 2010

“Skyline” is going to be holding a panel at the 2010 Comic-Con festival and Brittany is scheduled to attend!

Friday, July 23 12:00-1:00 Skyline— Universal Pictures, Relativity Media, and Rogue Pictures present an exclusive look at the sci-fi thriller Skyline, directed and produced by the Brothers Strause (Alien vs. Predator: Requiem), whose company Hydraulx has provided visual effects for Avatar, Iron Man 2, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and 300. In Skyline, strange lights descend on the city of Los Angeles, drawing people outside like moths to a flame, where an extraterrestrial force proceeds to swallow the entire human population off the face of the earth. Colin and Greg Strause unveil an exclusive Comic-Con trailer and scenes from Skyline, along with stars Donald Faison (Scrubs), Eric Balfour (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, 24), David Zayas (The Expendables, Dexter), Scottie Thompson (Star Trek), and Brittany Daniel (Club Dread) and moderated by Drew McWeeney. Relativity Snags the Strauses’ “Skyline”
Written by Jennifer on May 19, 2010

Everyone is allowed one crappy movie, and for the brothers Strause theirs is no doubt AVP: Requiem. But you can’t write the duo of darkness off just yet as apparently Brett Ratner saw their latest film Skyline and liked it so much that he brought it to a studio and sold it himself. Interesting.

Deadline New York reports Relativity Media nailed the distro rights for the film, which stars Brittany Daniel, Kate Mara, Eric Balfour, Laz Alonso, Donald Faison, Scottie Thompson, and Crystal Reed.

Synopsis
“After a late night party, a group of friends are awoken in the dead of the night by an eerie light beaming through the window. Like moths to a flame, the light source is drawing people outside before they suddenly vanish into the air. They soon discover an otherwordly force is swallowing the entire human population off the face of the earth. Now our band of survivors must fight for their lives as the world unravels around them.”

“The Game” Season 3 DVD Release Date
Written by Jennifer on April 07, 2010

Tia Mowry, Pooch Hall, Brittany Daniel, Coby Bell, Wendy Raquel Robinson and Hosea Chanchez are all back for The Game – The 3rd Season, the last production season broadcast on UPN before canceling the show. Since then BET has been airing The Game, but this morning CBS/Paramount has announced that these 22 episodes will be coming out on July 6th as a 3-DVD set.

Among the guest stars you’ll spot in this collection are Robin Givens, Rick Fox, Victoria Recaño, Charles Robinson, Penny Marshall, Duane Martin, Jalen Rose, Kevin Frazier, Bumper Robinson, Lee Majors, Stacey Dash, Keesha Sharp and Tahj Mowry (Tia’s brother). Running time is 460 minutes, with video in anamorphic widescreen, audio in English 5.1, and closed captioning.

Cost hasn’t been formally announced yet, but it is expected to be $36.98 SRP (the same as the previous two season sets). Below is a look at the package art, but please keep in mind that this design may possibly change. Why? Because the box currently says “The Final Season” on the front and spine…and The Game – The 3rd Season may not be the final one any more! Last night The Hollywood Reporter posted a story that BET is close to signing a deal to pick up The Game – including most of the cast – for a new season full of original episodes. That’s terrific news, isn’t it? We think so!
